Alone in the darkness I sleep
No one company there is to keep
But the horrid, beautiful blackness
And my own thoughts and dreams.
When outside night falls, I then awake
To roam, to wander endlessly.
Forever I am damned to this fate.
A life of solitude shrouded in mystery.
Within me a beast, it restlessly sleeps.
Waiting to be unleashed, always there
Puling, thrashing I cannot contain it.
It breaks free, another is dead
To this end I desire and dread.
Dawn breaks, back into the darkness I hide.
Forever, I am damned to this fate. |
